Aisle Barn

Aisle Barn is an accessible holiday rental in the beautiful environs of Chipley Park, a private estate in Somerset, UK, just a ten-minute drive from Junction 26 of the M5. Sleeps 8.

This large, four-bedroom house forms part of a converted, Grade II listed, traditional Somerset 7-Aisle Barn and has two spectacular (and accessible) gardens attached. We do not allow dogs at Aisle Barn, except assistance dogs by arrangement.

Aisle Barn was designed by Charlie, who wanted to live in a beautiful rural setting completely independently.

Master bedroom

Master Bedroom: with discreet hoist and super-kingsize bed, this room looks out over the Park to the wood beyond. Features large, built-in wardrobes, chest of drawers and custom-built dressing table (for wheelchair access). The master bathroom is directly opposite the bedroom, and the lift is just outside the door. A luxury camp-bed is available for use in this room, or elsewhere on the property.

Guest Bedroom

Guest Bedroom: has an en-suite bathroom with shower and bath, a chest of drawers, kingsize bed (can be twins) and commanding views across the Park. All bedrooms at Aisle Barn are generously proportioned.

The Granary

This separate converted grain store located by the Terrace is not wheelchair accessible, but houses two twin beds, a bathroom with shower and bath and a mezzanine area.

The Studio

The Studio is a generous bedroom (king or twin) with bathroom and kitchenette, underneath the main Barn (not wheelchair accessible).

Walled Garden

The gardens (there are two distinct gardens belonging to this property) have been traditionally planted and arranged to be completely accessible and private. The Walled Garden sits in front of Aisle Barn and has a paved seating area, sundial, lawns and formal hedging, as well as a small orchard, wall-trained apricots and roses. A Weber BBQ (with tool set) is available for guests to use. A water trough with fountain lies on the far wall.

Booking Aisle Barn T&Cs

We know it’s not the most exciting part of a holiday, but these are important conditions as they apply to all accommodation bookings made with Aisle Barn. Let us know if you have any questions…

We are open to visitors from 1 August 2020, depending on government restrictions and provided it is safe for our guests.
To give you the confidence to book ahead, we’re making the following temporary amendment to our rental terms and conditions during the Coronavirus pandemic.
If your holiday has to be cancelled due to UK government-mandated closure of your accommodation, stay at home directive or ban on non-essential travel, we’ll transfer your deposit to a future booking up to the end of 2022, subject to availability and variation of tariff.
We’re also waiving the requirement to pay your balance eight weeks before arrival; you’ll now only need to pay your balance one week before you arrive.
We reserve the right to revise this temporary amendment at any time. This flexible approach applies to new bookings.

Full terms and conditions here.
